This spider was created via body paint and prosthetics, encapsulated silicone was used to create the spider's face (placed covering the model's groin area). The model's limbs created 4 of the spider's and the other 4 were prop legs made from pipe insulation foam and wire coat hangers. 

This spider species commonly tricks it's prey of other spiders by gently 'twanging' the web of it's victim to entice it out onto the web. This spider represents Mr Nancy/trickster god from my American Gods series.
